Test Cases

Number of test cases is one of the most important parameter that effects test costing. Though there is no hard and fast rule for the number of cases, but that should be in proportion to the feature complexity. Too vast number of cases may signify poor quality and redundancy of the test cases while too less may signify poor coverage. So we need to design the cases in an optimal manner without compromising on coverage. Also the way we should write test cases is such that even a novice tester can understand and execute the cases without anybody’s help.
